The children come to stay with us for a variety of reasons, some are orphans, some are children of a single parent family with dire financial problems, and in several cases the parent responsible for the child has a physical or mental illness. Just occasionally they have both parents, but family circumstances are such that they cannot care for their children.
We take both boys and girls. The ages of the children in each class varies considerably as some have had little or no education before joining us.
